B2B Magento Development

B2B commerce is a different animal — company accounts, negotiated pricing, purchase orders, approval chains, and an ERP that has to stay in sync. Magento and Adobe Commerce handle all of it natively, if it's built properly. We're a specialist B2B Magento agency with real wholesale and distribution stores behind us, not a B2C shop adding B2B features for the first time on your project.

Why Magento for B2B

Most ecommerce platforms bolt B2B on as an afterthought. Magento and Adobe Commerce treat it as a first-class use case — which is why serious manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers run on it. The difference shows up where it matters: a buyer logging in to their negotiated prices, placing a purchase order against a credit limit, with the whole thing flowing straight into your ERP.

We build B2B for three kinds of merchant:

Manufacturers and distributors selling to trade buyers — company accounts, contract pricing, large catalogues and ERP at the centre of everything.

Wholesalers running B2B alongside (or instead of) B2C — often from a single Magento installation serving both audiences.

Merchants outgrowing a templated platform — Shopify Plus or BigCommerce B2B that's hit its ceiling on pricing logic, catalogue complexity or integration depth.

B2B features we build

Company accounts & hierarchy

Buyer organisations with multiple users, roles and approval chains — so a junior buyer raises an order and a manager approves it, all within their company structure.

Shared catalogues & custom pricing

Different catalogues and price lists per company — contract pricing, tiered pricing and tax-exempt status, so each buyer sees their own commercial terms.

Negotiable quotes

The request-a-quote workflow B2B runs on: a buyer requests pricing, your team negotiates, and the agreed quote converts straight to an order.

Purchase orders & credit

Payment on account, purchase-order workflows and credit limits per company — the way trade buyers actually pay, not just card-at-checkout.

Requisition lists & fast reordering

Saved lists and quick reordering for buyers who purchase the same items regularly — the convenience that keeps B2B customers loyal.

PunchOut & procurement

cXML and OCI PunchOut integration so your store plugs into your buyers' procurement systems — essential for selling to large, process-driven organisations.

What you receive

  • A B2B store on Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce, on a supported version

  • Native B2B features configured to how your buyers actually purchase

  • Custom pricing, company accounts and approval workflows built to your structure

  • ERP, PIM and CRM integrations connecting the store to your back office

  • PunchOut / procurement integration where your buyers require it

  • Clean, documented, version-controlled code — no black box

  • Documentation and a handover session for your team

We don't hand over a black box. The codebase is yours, documented and maintainable — whether you stay with us or take it elsewhere.

What we have built

A real platform migration — Shopify to Magento 2, with the data and rankings kept whole.

What B2B features does Adobe Commerce include?

Adobe Commerce ships a full native B2B suite: company accounts with user roles and approval hierarchies, shared catalogues, custom and contract pricing, negotiable quotes, purchase orders, credit limits and requisition lists. It's the most complete native B2B feature set of the major platforms.

Do I need Adobe Commerce for B2B, or can I use Magento Open Source?

You can do B2B on either. Adobe Commerce includes the native B2B suite out of the box; Open Source has no native B2B module but supports the features via custom development or extensions. Deep, broad B2B needs usually favour Adobe Commerce; a focused subset can be more economical on Open Source. We help you decide based on your actual requirements.

Can I run B2B and B2C from the same Magento installation?

Yes — a single Magento installation can serve both, with different catalogues, pricing and experiences per audience (often as separate websites or store views). This B2B2C setup is common and one of Magento's real strengths over single-mode platforms.

How long does a B2B Magento implementation take?

A focused B2B build runs a few months; a full implementation with complex pricing, multiple integrations and PunchOut takes longer. The biggest variable is integration depth — connecting cleanly to your ERP is usually the critical-path item. We scope precisely after discovery.

Can you integrate Magento with our ERP, PIM or CRM?

Yes — that's central to most of our B2B work. We integrate with SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor (ERP), Akeneo and inriver (PIM), and Salesforce and HubSpot (CRM), via API, scheduled sync or EDI. See our Magento ERP Integration page for detail.

Does Magento support PunchOut procurement?

Yes. We implement cXML and OCI PunchOut so your store integrates with buyers' procurement platforms — essential when selling to large organisations whose purchasing runs through a procurement system rather than your storefront directly.

How does Magento B2B compare to Shopify Plus B2B?

Shopify Plus B2B has improved but remains more constrained on complex pricing logic, deep catalogue structures, PunchOut and ERP integration depth. Magento and Adobe Commerce give you more control and fewer ceilings, at the cost of more setup. For serious B2B with real complexity, that trade usually favours Magento.

How much does a B2B Magento build cost?

It depends heavily on integration depth and how much of the B2B feature set you need — a focused build is far less than a full enterprise implementation with multiple ERP and PunchOut integrations. We scope it precisely after discovery and are honest about where an Adobe Commerce licence does or doesn't pay for itself.
